ZSE records a 0.45% loss in mid-week trades… The ZSE market continued to falter in the session as it fell by 0.45% to 199.18pts while, the Blue Chip Index was 0.22% weaker at 197.36pts. The Agriculture Index was 0.32% weaker at 177.49pts while, the Mid Cap Index dropped 1.29% to 228.37pts.

Losses persist on the bourse… Losses persisted on the ZSE as the primary All Share Index fell 1.50% to 200.08pts while, the Blue-Chip Index lost 2.26% to 197.80pts. In contrast, the Agriculture Index added 0.45% to 178.05pts while, the Mid Cap Index rose 0.79% to 231.34pts.
ZSE slips into the red… The market commenced the new week in red as the primary All Share Index lost 1.40% to 203.13pts while, the Blue-Chip Index fell 1.94% to 202.37pts. The Agriculture Index eased 0.08% to 177.24pts while, the Mid Cap Index rose 0.50% to 229.52pt.
ZSE falters as Old Mutual ETF delists… The ZSE market recorded losses in week ending session as the primary All Share Index fell 0.03% to 207.75pts while, the Blue Chip Index lost 0.61% to 205.62pts. The Mid Cap Index eased 0.85% to 234.10pts while, on the contrary the Agriculture Index gained 2.00% to 176.64pts.
ZSE rebounds in Thursdays trades… The ZSE market rebounded in the penultimate session of the week as three of the four indices we review closed pointing northwards. The All Share Index was 0.04% up at 207.81pts while, the Blue-Chip Index added 0.02% to 206.89pts. The Mid Cap Index rose by 0.13% to 236.10pts while, on the contrary the Agriculture Index fell by 0.01% to 173.18pts. Trading in the positive category was cable manufacturer Cafca that charged 5.13% to $20.5000 while, Econet soared 3.08% to close trading at $3.0871.
ZSE slips into red… The ZSE market slipped into red in the midweek session as the primary All Share Index lost 0.90% to 207.72pts while, the Blue-Chip Index fell 0.74% to 206.85pts. The Agriculture Index eased 2.57% to 173.20pts as the Mid Cap Index went down 1.62% to 235.80pts.
ZSE records gains in week opening session… The market recorded gains in the week opening session as the primary All Share Index rose 0.23% to 208.84pts while, the Blue-Chip Index added 0.37% to 207.37pts. The Agriculture Index lost 0.0001% to 177.76pts as the Mid Cap Index eased 0.23% to 239.68pts.
Heavies weigh the market in the last session of October … Heavies weighed down the market in the last session of the month as the All-Share Index declined 1.09% to 289.12pts. The Blue-Chip was 2.94% weaker at 302.87pts while, the Mid Cap Index was 4.73% firmer at 267.81pts. The Agriculture Index was 4.68% to end higher at 232.42pts. Beverages producer Delta led the laggards of the day as it parred off 7.05% to $20.0363 as 641,800 shares exchanged hands in the name. Trailing was sugar refiner Star Africa that dropped 4.30% to $0.0216 while, retailer OK Zimbabwe eased 3.49% to $0.9458. Seed company SeedCo Limited trimmed 0.54% to close at a VWAP of $5.2495 while, telecommunication company Econet slipped 0.19% to settle at $4.8110.
ZSE register gains for the fifth consecutive session… The ZSE market recorded gains for the fifth time in a row as the primary All Share Index put on 0.69% to 292.31pts while, the Blue-Chip Index fell 0.08% to 312.03pts. The Agriculture Index went up 3.47% to 222.04pts as the Mid Cap Index gained 2.35% to 255.72pts. Tea producer Tanganda headlined the top performers of the day on a 15.00% jump to $3.0820, followed by retailer OK Zimbabwe that surged 14.76% to $0.9800. Cigarette manufacturer BAT ticked up 10.06% to $105.0000 while, Star Africa charged 7.67% to close at $0.0226. Nampak completed the top five gainers of the day on a 6.50% upsurge to end the day pegged at $1.3100. Trading in the negative territory was FMP that dropped 4.74% to $0.7573, followed by life assurer Fidelity that fell 4.37% to $1.1500. General Beltings shed 4.15% to $0.0600 while, telecoms giant Econet eased 1.71% to $4.8201. Meikles capped the laggards of the day on a 0.09% retreat to end the day pegged at $4.5600. The market closed with a positive breadth of four as eleven counters recorded gains against seven that faltered.
Delta highlights the session… Delta highlighted Tuesday’s session after circa 1.68m shares worth $36.25m exchanged hands in the name. The trade accounted for 50.13% of the total volumes traded and 81.55% of turnover. The other notable counter to trade was Econet that traded about 1.20m shares worth $5.93m. The trade in the telecoms giant claimed 35.99% of the volumes traded and 13.35% of the value outturn.

Tea producer Tanganda headlined the top performers of the day on a 14.99% jump to $2.3550, followed by Mash Holdings that surged 13.50% to $1.7025. Construction company Masimba charged 12.01% to $2.9739 while, retailer Ok Zimbabwe firmed up 11.14% to close at $0.9447.
SE falters in Monday’s trades… The ZSE market faltered in Monday’s trades as the All-Share Index retreated 2.75% to 245.85pts while, the Blue-Chip Index parred off 3.52% to 262.20pts, weighed down mainly by Econet, FBC and CBZ. The Mid-Cap Index was 0.51% weaker a 210.74pts while, the Agriculture Index fell by 0.84% to 203.48pts. Brick maker Willdale led the laggards of the day as it plunged 19.03% to settle at $0.0400 where demand could be found. Telecommunications giant Econet capped the session at $3.0359, following a 13.26% descent. The duo of banking groups in FBC and CBZ dipped 8.33% and 8.31% respectively to see the former close at $11.0009 and the latter at $16.5035. Tea producer Tanganda fastened the top five worst performers list of the day on a 7.43% trim to $2.9138. Partially offsetting today’s losses was Ecocash that edged up 12.85% to $0.3611, followed by bankers NMB that advanced 10.00% to $3.3000. Retailer OK Zimbabwe ticked up 2.40% to close at a VWAP of $0.8432 while, property concern First Mutual rose 0.56% to $0.7240. ART fastened the top five gainers list of the day on a 0.45% growth to $0.5525.
