Telecommunications giant Econet highlighted Friday’s session as circa 26.27m shares worth $119.10m exchanged hands in the name. The trade represented 94.41% of the total volumes traded and 96.73% of turnover. Volume of shares exchanged hands ballooned 1094.42% to 27.83m while, turnover surged 679.46% to $123.14m.

The ZSE market eked out gains in the week opening session as the All-Share Index went up 0.29% to 205.74pts while, the Blue-Chip Index firmed 1.20% to 203.74pts. Contrastingly, the Agriculture Index fell 1.85% to 168.71pts while, the Mid-Cap Index was 3.23% softer at 231.56pts. Headlining the gainers of the day was brick manufacturer Willdale that jumped 20.00% to $0.0360 while, property concern Mashonaland surged 13.95% to end pegged at $1.4814.
The ZSE market registered marginal gains in the session as the All-Share Index edged up 0.11% to 205.97pts while, the Agriculture Index added 1.51% to 171.25pts. The Mid Cap Index rose 2.57% to 237.52pts while, on the contrary, the BlueChips Index fell 0.48% to 202.76pts. Turnall Holdings headlined the gainers of the day having climbed 79.22% to settle at $0.1100 as it reversed previous day’s losses. Dairibord trailed on a 15.00% jump to close at $1.6675.
Telecoms giant Econet anchored the session as 48.86m shares worth circa $221.21m exchanged hands. The trades accounted for 92.77% of the total volumes traded and 94.24% of the value outturn. Total volumes traded surged 1879.52% to 52.67m shares while, turnover ballooned 1395.06% to $234.73m. The Tigere REIT inched up 0.01% to $1.1500 on 2,566 units. The Morgan & Co ETF MIZ was stable at $0.0400 on 3,450 units.
ZSE recorded gains in the penultimate session of the month as the All-Share Index rose by 1.41% to 209.32pts while, the BlueChip Index edged up 1.54% to 206.91pts. The ZSE Agriculture Index added 3.20% to 177.97pts while, the Mid Cap Index gained 0.93% to 237.56pts. Dairy producer Dairibord led the gainers of the day on a 14.73% surge that took it to $2.1454 as sugar refiner Star Africa followed on a 12.50% jump to end pegged at $0.0450.
ZSE declined in the month-ending session as losses in CBZ and Hippo weighed on the market. The ZSE All Share Index eased 0.28% to 208.74pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index retreated 0.49% to 205.89pts. Contrastingly, the ZSE Agriculture Index gained 0.62% to 179.07pts while, the Mid Cap Index rose 0.58% to end at 238.92pts. Star Africa dropped 11.11% to end pegged at $0.0400 while, CBZ trailed on a 9.71% decline to $8.0000.
ZSE registered modest losses in new month session as the AllShare Index fell 0.02% to 208.71pts while, the Agriculture Index retreated 0.62% to 177.97pts. The Mid Cap Index parred off 0.81% to 237.00pts while, the Blue-Chip Index edged up 0.18% to 206.27pts. Turnall headlined the losers of the day having lost 21.63% to end pegged at $0.0550 as Tanganda followed on a 10.52% retreat to settle at $0.8501.
ZSE stretched gains in Tuesday’s session to see the primary All Share Index adding a further 0.17% to 209.07pts while, the Top 10 Index edged up 0.19% to 206.67pts. The Mid Cap Index rose 0.10% to 237.23pts while, on the other hand, the Agriculture Index fell a negligible 0.01% to 177.95pts. Proplastics took the lead on the top five performers board having gained 11.73% to settle at $1.4525 with brick manufacturer Willdale trailing behind on a 7.53% charge to close at $0.0400.
ZSE sustained an upward momentum in the midweek session as the All-Share Index rose by 0.55% to 210.22pts while, the Top Ten Index added 0.45% to 207.61pts. The Mid Cap Index charged 0.95% to 239.48pts while, the Agriculture Index edged up a meagre 0.01% to 177.96pts. Logistics company Unifreight Africa led the gainers of the day on a 14.99% jump to end pegged at $1.4900 with RTG Limited trailing behind on a 11.46% to settle at $0.9000.
The ZSE market recorded a 0.11% loss to close at 208.27pts in Friday’s session while, the Blue-Chip Index was 0.05% weaker at 206.49pts. The Agriculture Index was 0.20% down at 174.84pts while, the Mid Cap Index retreated 0.34% to end at 233.50pts.
ZSE rebounded in Monday’s session as the All-Share Index rose 0.17% to 208.62pts while, the Agriculture Index added 0.23% to 175.25pts. The Mid Cap Index edged up 1.01% to 235.86pts while on the contrary, the ZSE Top Ten Index fell a nominal 0.04% to 206.41pts. Meikles Limited headlined the top performers of the day on a 14.22% jump to settle at $4.0000 as Tanganda Tea Company followed on a 7.87% uplift to $0.8657.
The market ended the session in marginal gains as Mid Cap counters weighed down the ZSE. The mainstream All Share Index rose 0.04% to end at 208.69pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index added 0.38% to 207.20pts. Contrastingly, the Mid Cap Index declined 0.53% to 234.60pts while, the ZSE Agriculture Index slipped 0.10% to 175.06pts.
