The ZSE market continued to record gains as Mid-cap counters dominated in the week under review. The All-Share Index was 1.62% firmer at 456.11pts while, the segregated Industrials edged up 1.60% to settle at 448.12pts. The Blue-Chip Index inched up 0.95% to 458.39pts on the back of gains in Hippo and Delta while, the Mid Cap Index went up 4.58% to 475.78pts as it broadened its YTD gains to 71.05%. Elsewhere, AFDIS invested US$4.4 million in plant and equipment upgrades during the year ending March 2026, in a bid to successfully improve production reliability and cost efficiency.
TN Cybertech led the risers’ pack of the week on a 37.45% upsurge that took the banking group to $0.2773, where supply could be found. Zimre Holdings Limited followed on a 27.78% lift that took the insurer to $0.9200 while, agricultural concern Ariston rose 11.43% to $0.0780. The duo of banking groups in FBC and ZB were 11% and 9.09% firmer to close at $9.9900 and $6.0000 respectively. Hippo Valley Estates ticked up 9.00% to $11.0000 as sugar refiner Star Africa added 6.86% to end higher at $0.0481. Delta Corporation rebounded 5.71% to settle at $31.9536 on firming demand while, Proplastics added 4.44% week on week and closed at $1.2500. Completing the top ten winners of the week was Turnall Holdings Limited which went up 4.34% to $0.1200.
Banking group CBZ headlined the losers of the week after succumbing 10.30% to end pegged at $36.2688, having reached a low of $30.0000. SeedCo Limited lost 1.74% to close at $4.5300 while, Tanganda Tea Estates eased 0.05% to
