Heavy and Mid Cap counters anchored the market in the week under review, as the All-Share Index buttressed prior week’s on a 3.18% gain to 448.83pts. The Blue-Chip Index was 2.57% firmer 454.09pts while, segregated Industrials rose by 3.17% to close trading at 441.08pts. The Mid Cap Index advanced 5.89% to close pegged at 454.95pts, extending its YTD gains to 63.56%. Elsewhere, the Old Mutual Limited is migrating its secondary listing from the ZSE to the VFEX, resolving its long-standing ZSE trading suspension and restoring shareholders' ability to trade, pending regulatory approval.

Headlining the winners of the week was Dairibord Limited which surged 74.90% week on week and closed at $5.7716, where supply could be found. Following was Unifreight which ticked up 14.37% to end at $1.9700 while, Hippo Valley Estates rebounded 12.73% to settle at $10.0918. Star Africa went up 12.50% to $0.0450 with SeedCo Limited adding 12.44% to close at $4.6100 on firming demand. First Mutual Limited was 11.04% firmer at $3.2001 while, General Beltings added 9.82% to $0.1230. Agricultural concern Ariston ticked up 7.69% week on week to $0.0700. Banking group CBZ advanced 7.39% week on week and settled at $40.4324 as demand continued to firm up in the name. Zimre Holdings Limited rose a similar 7.39% to close at $0.7200 as it completed the top ten risers of the week.
Leading the losers’ set was Proplastics that succumbed 9.67% to close at $1.1968 on weak demand with construction group Masimba Holdings following on a 9.11% decline that took it to $2.9086 as demand continued to wane in the name. Meikles which is trading under cautionary plunged 9.09% to settle lower at $2.5000, where demand could be found. Turnall Holdings Limited was 3.76% down at $0.1150 while, ZSE Holdings trimmed 2.05% to $1.5100. Completing the laggards of the week was top capitalised stock Delta which declined 1.01% to close at $30.2287, where demand could be established.
