Heavy and mid-cap counters anchor the market with double-digit gains…
Heavy and mid cap counters anchored the market in the month of August, as reflected by double gains recorded in their respective indexes. The All-Share Index was 15.08% firmer at 480.81pts while, the Blue Chip Index garnered 15.01% to settle at 486.86pts. The Mid Cap Index was 15.07% higher at 484.94pts while, the Agriculture Index added 9.58% firmer at 342.93pts as it breached the 100% YTD gain mark to close pegged at 102.10%. Elsewhere, Old Mutual Limited that was suspended in June 2020 announced that it will be delisting from the ZSE and will be listing on the VFEX as its secondary listing.
