Losses persist on the bourse…
Losses persisted on the ZSE market in the week-ending session as the primary All Share Index fell 0.15% to 398.05pts while, the Blue-Chip Index eased 0.30% to 399.98pts. The Agriculture Index eased 0.13% to 303.50pts while, on the contrary the Mid Cap Index firmed up 0.54% to 416.62pts. FBC Holdings led the laggards of the day on a 6.05% dip to $9.0000, followed by Delta that trimmed 3.50% to $30.0408. Tea processor Tanganda tumbled 1.26% to close at $3.4559 while, General Beltings dropped 0.75% to $0.1117. SeedCo Limited capped the top five fallers of the day on a 0.12% retreat to end pegged at $4.0000. Partially mitigating today’s losses was Mashonaland Holdings that jumped 14.97% to $1.3710, trailed by ZSE Holdings that shot up 14.81% to $1.5500. Banking group CBZ soared 9.63% to settle at $24.1178 while, Proplastics inched up 9.01% to $1.2000. TN Cybertech completed the top five best performers of the day on a 6.39% uplift to $0.1710.
Activity aggregates were subdued in the session as volume traded fell 8.26% to 453,000 shares while, turnover dipped 58.16% to $2.53m. Top volume drivers of the day were Mash Holdings (23.89%), TN Cybertech (18.63%) and FBC (11.04%). CBZ Holdings, Delta and FBC highlighted the value traded of the day after contributing a combined 87.48% to the total. Cass Saddle ETF exchanged 140,700 units at a stable price of $0.0754. The Tigere REIT edged up 10.82% to settle at $1.1648 on 96,785 units.
