Delta anchored activity aggregates in the session as 688,300 shares worth circa $22.01m exchanged hands. The beverages group claimed 29.89% of the total volume traded and 90.38% of the value aggregate. Other volume drivers of the day were Ariston (24.46%) and Proplastics (21.71%). Total volume traded ballooned 199.39% to 2.30m while, turnover swelled 649.11% to $24.36m. The Datvest MCS was stable at $0.0600 on 11,600 units while, the MIZ ETF was unchanged at $0.1100 on 2,001 units. The Tigere REIT edged up 3.37% to close at $1.0846 as 70,008 units exchanged hands in the name.
Leading the gainers of the day was milk processor Dairibord that charged 14.38% to $3.2025, post the announcement of its intention to migrate to the VFEX, after shareholder approval while, First Mutual Holdings jumped 8.81% to $2.7247. Mashonaland Holdings surged 7.64% to $1.4000 with Delta putting on 5.72% to close at a VWAP of $31.9905, having traded a high of $32.0000. Life assurer Fidelity rose 3.09% to end the day at $0.7000. Trading in the negative was agriculture concern Ariston that declined 8.66% to $0.0630. BAT dropped 7.43% to $185.1428 as AFDIS shed 6.73% to settle at $14.0000. TSL capped the top five fallers of the day on a 6.53% loss to $6.9636.
