ZSE ends the week in losses…
The ZSE market ended the week in losses as the All-Share Index retreated 0.67% to 400.04pts while, the ZSE Top Ten Index shed 0.69% to 401.30pts. ZSE Agriculture Index trimmed 1.63% to 317.71pts while, the Mid Cap Index let go 0.59% to end pegged at 421.61pts. The top faller of the day was RTG that dropped 14.32% to $1.2851 while, ZSE Holdings succumbed 10.78% to $1.2000. Tea company Tanganda plunged 9.76% to $3.7450 with Mashonaland Holdings dipping 7.77% to $1.3742. Property concern FMP was 4.73% down at $0.9000. Partially mitigating today’s losses was Zimre Holdings Limited that surged 13.12% to $0.7500. Turnall garnered 7.98% to $0.1188 while, Proplastics charged 7.41% to $1.3900. Hippo Valley Estates rose 3.32% to $9.1000 while, agriculture concern Ariston completed the risers of the day on a 3.23% to $0.0670.
Activity aggregates enhanced in the session as volumes jumped 104% to 1.25m shares while, turnover ballooned 537.08% to $20.45m. Volume drivers of the day were Delta (52.17%), Turnall (17.04%) and Star Africa (11.90%). Delta was the top value driver of the day after contributing a gigantic 95.58% of the total. The Tigere REIT edged up 3.04% to close at $1.0513 as 981,429 units traded while, the Revitus REIT was stable at $1.9000 on 2,898 units.
