MARKET COMMENT-03.02.2026

ZSE extends losses… 
The ZSE market declined further in the session as the All-Share Index pared off 3.36% to 339.59pts while, the Blue-Chip Index shed 3.93% to 346.34pts. The Mid Cap Index lost 0.12% to 328.13pts while, the Agriculture Index gained 0.05% to 205.50pts. Telecommunications company Econet led the fallers of the day on a 13.95% dip to land at $7.7358 with TN Cybertech trailing on a 3.93% retreat to $0.1207. Proplastics trimmed 3.70% to settle at $1.3000 while, RTG fell 1.58% to $1.3778. Mashonaland Holdings capped the top five fallers of the day on a negligible 0.04% decrease to settle at $1.2995. Partially mitigating today’s losses was logistics company Unifreight that jumped 4.89% to finish at $1.8351, followed by TSL Limited that went up 0.33% to $2.9200. Banking group CBZ Holdings grew 0.21% to $12.6767 while, beverages company Delta added 0.08% to $29.0708. BAT concluded the gainer’s list of the day on a modest 0.02% rise to close at $145.9000.  
 
 
Activity aggregates improved in the session as turnover ballooned 258.98% to $6.76m while, volumes traded charged 55.81% to 1.58m shares. The top volume drivers of the day were Econet (38.94%), Willdale (25.31%) and Unifreight (20.78%). Econet and Delta drove the value aggregate as they contributed a combined 88.98% of the total. In the ETF category, Datvest MCS was stable at $0.0625 on 200,000 units.  The Tigere REIT dropped 0.74% to $1.7009 as 21,208 units exchanged hands.
