MARKET COMMENT-01.04.2026

SE falters in mid-week session… 
The market faltered in mid-week session as the mainstream All 
Share Index declined 0.37% to 357.24pts while, the ZSE Top 
Ten Index went down 0.79% to 362.22pts. On the contrary, the 
Mid Cap Index rose 1.19% to end at 362.49pts while, the ZSE 
Agriculture Index added 0.50% to end at 261.11pts. Banking 
group FBC shed 2.17% to settle at $10.0000 while, Delta 
dropped 1.79% to $26.0715. Milk processor Dairibord 
trimmed 0.76% to settle at $2.6000 as CBZ slid 0.62% to 
$16.0000. Mashonaland retreated 0.55% to land at $0.9736. 
Trading in the positive was Meikles that jumped 14.71% to end 
at $3.1200, trailed by financial services group ZB that edged up 
7.91% to $4.5500. VFEX bound TSL grew 3.61% as it closed 
pegged at $4.8173 while, NMB went up 3.59% to close the day 
at $5.2000 as construction group Masimba added 0.14% to 
$1.8425.   
 
Volume of shares traded went up 1.01% to 1.83m while, 
turnover plummeted 26.30% to $12.09m. Volume drivers of 
the day were TN Cybertech (39.09%), NMB (33.89%) and Delta 
(15.32%). Value drivers of the day were Delta, NMB and FBC 
that claimed a combined 97.47% of the aggregate. The Tigere 
REIT rallied 13.28% to $1.1552 while, the Revitus REIT put on 
0.10% to settle at $2.4025. No trades were recorded in the ETF 
section.
