Corporate announcements and events highlighted Thursday's session, with the headline development being the Econet EGM, in which shareholders successfully approved the
company's delisting from the ZSE and the listing of its infrastructure assets on the (VFEX). First Mutual Properties also featured in the session as it announced that it is engaged
in a potential transaction that may result in its delisting from the ZSE. Meanwhile, struggling retailer OKZIM announced that it had voluntarily entered corporate rescue, prompting the exchange to suspend its shares from trading with immediate effect.
Gainers of the day were headlined by Unifreight that extended 14.99% to $3.1400 while, RTG followed on a 14.48% surge to $1.1561. Hippo Valley ticked up 8.64% to $9.0000 as Dairibord gained 7.92% to $2.3677. TN Cybertech edged up 2.75% to end pegged at $0.1036. The top faller of the day was Zimre Holdings that dropped 12.23% to $0.4389, followed by agriculture concern Ariston that retreated 7.15% to $0.0320. Star Africa trimmed 2.87% to $0.0348 with ZSE Holdings shedding 2.56% to end at $1.2615. Econet Wireless ended the day at $9.0381 on a 1.16% retreat. Cumulatively, 1.53m shares worth $22.69m exchanged in the session. Delta claimed 47.46% of the total volumes traded and 94.37% of the value outturn. The ZSE All Share Index gained a marginal 0.10% to 359.96pts.
