ZSE slips into the red…
The market slipped into the red in mid-week session as the primary All Share Index declined 0.77% to close at 397.30pts. The ZSE Top Ten Index retreated 0.73% to 394.49pts while, the ZSE Agriculture Index shed 3.12% to 309.86pts. The Mid Cap Index let go 0.94% to close at 436.69pts. Hippo was the top faller of the day as it succumbed 11.88% to end pegged at $8.2485, followed by ZSE Holdings that plummeted 7.66% to $1.2000. SeedCo Limited tumbled 4.84% to end pegged at $3.8064 while, banking group FBC eased 3.93% to $11.0000. Cable manufacturer Cafca plunged 3.45% to end pegged at $14.0000. Agriculture concern Ariston firmed up 1.49% to $0.0638 as Delta ticked up 0.27% to close at a VWAP of $29.9995, having traded a high of $30.0025.
Activity aggregates were mixed in the session as volumes dropped 63.32% to 4.04m while, turnover charged 30.18% to end at $21.20m. Volume leaders of the day were TNCI and Delta that claimed 68.89% and 14.13% respectively. Delta and Hippo accounted for a combined 91.72% of the turnover. The Datvest MCS was stable at $0.0600 on 46,100 units. The Tigere REIT climbed 13.60% to $1.1948 on 2.77m units while, the Revitus REIT grew 0.07% to $2.2125 on 2,174 units.
